Andy Angelino serves as the Facility and Properties Manager of the ministry center of Heartland International Ministries.  He and his wife Chris have 3 boys (Isaac, Isaiah and Miles) and 2 girls (Gabrielle and Autumn).  They stepped out in faith in 2006 and moved their family from Allentown, PA to serve the Lord with Heartland International Ministries in the Kansas City area.

Biography/Testimony

Andy and Chris Angelino met in 1996.  Andy grew up in a Christian home, and Chris came from a divorced home.  She dealt with abandonment issues most of her life.  She had a lot of freedom growing up and did not have any boundaries set for her, which led her to using drugs and was in her first rehab for cocaine abuse at age 13, and in and out of 2 more over the next couple of years. When she was 16, she had her first daughter. At 19, she found herself pregnant again, and had her second daughter. That year she lost her father, who was her best friend despite the divorce. He died suddenly and then she really submersed herself into a life of drugs and destruction.

Chris had no hope for a future and could not imagine living much longer than she had. She wanted something more for herself and for her children, but did not know how. She could not even fathom living to 30 yrs old.

One night Chris lay in her bed and prayed, asking God, “If you are there, God, then show me how to live, because I don’t know. I want to have a better life but I don’t know how. Please, show me, if you are there.”

That week, she got a job down the street where she met someone she had never seen before…a person who prayed, a person who didn’t smoke, drink, curse, and was so different than anyone she had ever seen before. This man was Andy. He grew up in a Christian home with parents that were still married, and she befriended him and wanted to know what he had. She wanted to know how he had this peace that she yearned for. He was a gentlemen and her friend. He took the time to tell her about Jesus and how he loved Him. He grew up attending church regularly and even spent his summers at a Christian camp (Milford Bible Camp) helping along side his family where he came to know his God as his personal Savior. He started picking Chris and her girls up and took them to his church every Sunday. It was at that church, one year later that the pastor asked if anyone was there that day that wanted to change their life. Chris thought he was talking to her. She said yes and came down to the front of that church that May morning and handed her life over to God. That day, she asked Jesus to forgive her for everything she had ever done and asked Him to take over her life. She figured He could do a much better job with it than she had. That day, He put off her old life and gave her a new one…that day she became His child. He saved her from her sin and gave her the gift of eternal life. Ephesians 5:8 says, “For you were once darkness, now you are light. Live as children of light.”

Six months later, Andy and Chris got married, and together they have 3 boys (Isaac, Isaiah and Miles) along with their 2 girls (Gabrielle and Autumn).

Andy felt the calling to ministry and they were both open to whatever God had in store for them. They stepped out in faith, as God moved them from Allentown, PA to serve Him in the Kansas City area with Heartland International Ministries. Andy serves as the Facility/Property Manager of the H.I.M. Center.
