Please remember our Development Director, Angel Hecht and family in PRAYER- She just had serious hysterectomy surgery last week and will be recovering for several weeks. Obviously we do not want to drain or strain her with too much attention - with our saturating social media!! But please pray as she is also scheduled for another rotator-cuff operation after this recovery!!
We are very aware of the endless “tearjerking“ — nearly manipulating appeals and cries we all get daily. We have probably gone to the other extreme to hold back many of our issues in order to protect you! Obviously we cannot keep up with all the needs in our lives and the world. Great versus like Isaiah 26:3 remind us that we must keep our heart and mind fixed on HIM! In the last 24 hours literally… We have been hit with suicide attempts, people in horrible domestic crisis, pleas for help from many very poor people around the world, and even today having to help someone come home from the hospital who has just had a 30 pound mass of cancer removed from their stomach! Yes, the world is fallen And is in painful travail. We all need to be very discerning about our reactions to these endless needs around us. I have been living in five months of chronic pain and one arm that does not work anymore! With so many other people that have worse situations… We hate to draw any attention to ourselves. But in reality there are many of you… And friends who are always sincerely curious… And sympathetic… Wanting to know more details. That in itself is very draining to answer endless questions… When really… There are no final answers! Constant complications are the norm!
We are all living by faith… And just the littlest thing can express our love and concern for each other. “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ“.... somehow balanced with we all must bear our own cross!? So let me just say…THANK YOU SO MUCH for the private and personal way that you go into your “closet“ and shut the door and pray to the Father, who sees in secret, and who rewards you openly” Matt 6:6
Barb and I both also have surgeries scheduled!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! In season and out of season!!! 1Thess.5:18
God bless YOU!!!

Thank you for continuing to journey with me through life! Here is a little bit of what God did through our teams in the Philippines!
We arrived in the Philippines after a few long days of travel and said a sad goodbye to half of our teammates as our class was split into two different sections of Manila. After driving two or three hours in the dark, we were welcomed into the small one room church. Tired, hungry, dirty, and confused as to where exactly in the world we were, we start rolling out our sleeping bags on the floor our “home” for the next two months knowing we would have to roll them back up every few days. We woke up still tired, not quite sure where to get breakfast, and having no idea what we would be doing that day since we had no connections…but we pushed on. We started our time there by taking shifts reading the bible out loud over the city from cover to cover day and night till we were finished. Those who weren’t reading went out to prayer walk and to scout out the area for connections.
The audio book "Mighty Man & His Miniature God" is now available to listen to for free courtesy of Dr. Fred Kornis. If you have not had a chance to read or listen to his book, we encourage you to check it out!

<<< Below is a very recent letter of praise to the Lord Jesus Christ from one of our HIM PALS working in India >>>
Dear Pr. Dr. Fred Kornis,
Greetings to you in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I am sending a story/report from the mission fields. One of our certain pastors, who is a current HIM partner, is targeting unreached villages in India. This certain village is about 20 miles from the pastor's house. In this village are 2500 people who were not Christians and were living without our Lord Jesus Christ. The entire village were idol worshipers having a tribal background. In this village, a man named Nanu has a wife named Deetu who is 28 years old. She was mentally disturbed with a severe mental sickness, and due to it she used to runaway from the house, throw stones towards the people, would shout, and would scream. Nanu and his family have spent a lot of money for her treatments, have killed chickens and goats, and have also given a lot of money to witch doctors. Through all of that there was no cure.
Hey everyone! We wanted to share with you a recent sermon that Fred delivered to the First Baptist Church of Shawnee on 11/05/2017 regarding the missions field. As always, Fred was on fire for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Included in the YouTube video is a historical slideshow to go with the sermon, and some (not all) of the pictures are timed to be shown to help see what he is speaking about.
We hope you all get a chance to listen! Also, please let us know if it blessed you with a better understanding of the missions field and if you would like to get involved with HIM!
2 Peter 3:18 -- But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
.... Physical therapy every day ... and the Holy Spirit haunting my heart and soul about RESTING & RELAXING!!
This is going against everything in my nature, DNA, and character!!! A subtle torture and agony!? To finally… And suddenly except a new lifestyle and attitude is humanly totally impossible!!!! No matter what I "know" in my head… My emotions and heart are still cranked up, intense and ready to do battle!!
Hummmmm!?! I know in my head God can do this… Nothing is impossible with Him... but this is a new chapter in my life which is definitely mysterious and unknown.
This has been quite a week. (I think I said that last week, too. Ha ha) Such emotion, prayer and anticipation of the unknown (weather-wise) for so many people in various areas going on. My sister was down in Florida helping a friend and my niece lives in the Miami area so they were a personal family concern.
John 15:4-5 (KJV) -- "(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
Luke 10:2 (KJV) -- "...The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."
As many of you know, I took on all of the administration duties April 1, which is a lot in & of itself. This trip was going to be a test of sorts to see how working remotely from a different country, obviously not knowing if or when I'll have internet access, would work. I also knew balancing what it requires to go on a trip & keeping up with the admin. was going to be hard, but I wanted to try. I believe it is so important to know who we are helping and understand their lives and needs so that I can do my admin. job better. It has been a lot to juggle, but being here makes all of the hard work worth it. Getting up at 5:30am to do admin. work before our day begins is worth it. :)
On Sunday, we went to visit a small village of about 35 homes with 1,000 people...
Heartland International Ministries will be sending another team to join national leaders in Nicaragua this week, to work together in training, outreaches, women's seminars, and good old RELAXING loving RELATIONSHIPS! They have resources, gifts, literature and provisions... BUT NEED YOUR SERIOUS COMMITMENT TO COVER THEM IN PRAYER!!! Can you let us know that you will be in prayer for this 3 week project? That would mean so much to have your definite encouragement!
Thank you so much....Amos3:3
We want to share with you some success coming out of India regarding the spreading of the Gospel. If you would like to be a part of this great ministry, please reach out to us today to see how you can get involved!
Greetings, I hope you and the ministry are well. We had a wonderful 3 days Gospel tour with our church: it was fantastic, have reached 12,500 people with gospel tracts and Bibles in 21 villages. Many had taken decision to accept the Lord, and they want to read the Bible and go to church. Praise the Lord!
Thank you for your Prayers and help for the outreach program!
We praise the Lord that young people are coming to the Lord and accepting Jesus Christ as their savior. In this week's blog post, we are sharing a testimony of a young man that we rejoice about!
This is my spiritual life story: my mother died while I was only two years old, and my uncle raised me and took care of me. I was taking care of our goats and cows. While I was six years old, I came to the Christian school and went to school every day. I was feeling a great joy and love from school staff, project in-charge, and teachers more than parents. While certain teachers were coming to school one or two times in a week and were sharing Bible stories to the school children, I was sitting close to them and was learning Bible stories. This teaching was very different from our faith, as we were praying to idols. I was feeling that I am sinner and I need forgiveness. I was in the end of the class 4th (4th grade) and my spirit was making me sad that I need to be saved, and I was talking to my elders that how I can be saved. They were telling me this:
From spreading strategic literature, to providing disaster relief, to provisioning technical tools, HIM covers a broad range of physical needs in its missions:
We provide these various kinds of support mechanisms that our partners and workers need to build their influence and impact for the Kingdom. We are blessed to be in our position to provide in this way. Let us know today if you would like to support us in one or more of these areas!
Luke 15:10 - Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
This entire moment below was made possible by our glorious Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ:
This historical picture is one of my favorites. Joyous moments like these are one of the many fruits brought forth in His service, and your prayers, donations, and support help make this moment and many others a reality for His Kingdom!
Also, we are diligently working to provide you with more access to the scope and content of HIM, including its many members, functions, and parts. Check back often to see new blog posts, website updates, news, and more!
This is just for you to have a look at our one day seminar and the time with bible students. We appreciated Dr. Fred Kornis for bringing the fire of God in the Word.
A seminar like this is one of the many ways we train, sustain, and revitalize believers and churches as they develop a dynamic relationship with God...
"Thank you brother for bringing us the word. We are also thanking you for your partnership in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love, Ami"
Above: Fred praying over some of the new workers in the New Delhi ministry who will take the gospel to the villages in India, Nepal and Myanmar after finishing a rigorous 3-year study of the Word.
John 15: 1-17
After 12 days together, Scott returned to US & I have continued deeper into the heart of India, ministering and staying in the homes of our HIM PALS/workers.
Now, after 4 weeks we have spoken in over 25 meetings and sensed such a spirit of revival and awakening among God's people ... and lost Seekers! Daily we spend hours at dawn LISTENING to God in His Word. He and His Word are SOOOOOOO Alive! Hebrews 4:12-13.
These are the kind of fruit (ROI) your PRAYERS are producing.....
