This has been quite a week. (I think I said that last week, too. Ha ha) Such emotion, prayer and anticipation of the unknown (weather-wise) for so many people in various areas going on. My sister was down in Florida helping a friend and my niece lives in the Miami area so they were a personal family concern.
John 15:4-5 (KJV) -- "(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
Luke 10:2 (KJV) -- "...The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."
As many of you know, I took on all of the administration duties April 1, which is a lot in & of itself. This trip was going to be a test of sorts to see how working remotely from a different country, obviously not knowing if or when I'll have internet access, would work. I also knew balancing what it requires to go on a trip & keeping up with the admin. was going to be hard, but I wanted to try. I believe it is so important to know who we are helping and understand their lives and needs so that I can do my admin. job better. It has been a lot to juggle, but being here makes all of the hard work worth it. Getting up at 5:30am to do admin. work before our day begins is worth it. :)
On Sunday, we went to visit a small village of about 35 homes with 1,000 people...
Heartland International Ministries will be sending another team to join national leaders in Nicaragua this week, to work together in training, outreaches, women's seminars, and good old RELAXING loving RELATIONSHIPS! They have resources, gifts, literature and provisions... BUT NEED YOUR SERIOUS COMMITMENT TO COVER THEM IN PRAYER!!! Can you let us know that you will be in prayer for this 3 week project? That would mean so much to have your definite encouragement!
Thank you so much....Amos3:3
We want to share with you some success coming out of India regarding the spreading of the Gospel. If you would like to be a part of this great ministry, please reach out to us today to see how you can get involved!
Greetings, I hope you and the ministry are well. We had a wonderful 3 days Gospel tour with our church: it was fantastic, have reached 12,500 people with gospel tracts and Bibles in 21 villages. Many had taken decision to accept the Lord, and they want to read the Bible and go to church. Praise the Lord!
Thank you for your Prayers and help for the outreach program!
We praise the Lord that young people are coming to the Lord and accepting Jesus Christ as their savior. In this week's blog post, we are sharing a testimony of a young man that we rejoice about!
This is my spiritual life story: my mother died while I was only two years old, and my uncle raised me and took care of me. I was taking care of our goats and cows. While I was six years old, I came to the Christian school and went to school every day. I was feeling a great joy and love from school staff, project in-charge, and teachers more than parents. While certain teachers were coming to school one or two times in a week and were sharing Bible stories to the school children, I was sitting close to them and was learning Bible stories. This teaching was very different from our faith, as we were praying to idols. I was feeling that I am sinner and I need forgiveness. I was in the end of the class 4th (4th grade) and my spirit was making me sad that I need to be saved, and I was talking to my elders that how I can be saved. They were telling me this:
From spreading strategic literature, to providing disaster relief, to provisioning technical tools, HIM covers a broad range of physical needs in its missions:
We provide these various kinds of support mechanisms that our partners and workers need to build their influence and impact for the Kingdom. We are blessed to be in our position to provide in this way. Let us know today if you would like to support us in one or more of these areas!
Luke 15:10 - Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
This entire moment below was made possible by our glorious Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ:
This historical picture is one of my favorites. Joyous moments like these are one of the many fruits brought forth in His service, and your prayers, donations, and support help make this moment and many others a reality for His Kingdom!
Also, we are diligently working to provide you with more access to the scope and content of HIM, including its many members, functions, and parts. Check back often to see new blog posts, website updates, news, and more!
This is just for you to have a look at our one day seminar and the time with bible students. We appreciated Dr. Fred Kornis for bringing the fire of God in the Word.
A seminar like this is one of the many ways we train, sustain, and revitalize believers and churches as they develop a dynamic relationship with God...
"Thank you brother for bringing us the word. We are also thanking you for your partnership in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love, Ami"
Above: Fred praying over some of the new workers in the New Delhi ministry who will take the gospel to the villages in India, Nepal and Myanmar after finishing a rigorous 3-year study of the Word.
John 15: 1-17
After 12 days together, Scott returned to US & I have continued deeper into the heart of India, ministering and staying in the homes of our HIM PALS/workers.
Now, after 4 weeks we have spoken in over 25 meetings and sensed such a spirit of revival and awakening among God's people ... and lost Seekers! Daily we spend hours at dawn LISTENING to God in His Word. He and His Word are SOOOOOOO Alive! Hebrews 4:12-13.
These are the kind of fruit (ROI) your PRAYERS are producing.....
… Thank you so much for your prayers… Even while we were circulating throughout India…Sharing our crumbs.... And encouraging so many simple poor people here… There are still needs from other parts of the world that never never stop…
Fred is currently surrendering to His vision to reach the unreached multitudes. We ask for your prayers. None of this works without prayer. God does the work through us when we ask for His help in prayer.
Before Fred left, he was inspired to share five scriptures for us to consider, read, and meditate upon:
This is one… Of the several villages I will return to for training and encouragement with their leaders… Somewhat remote untouched areas.... in north India.....
Urgent: Upcoming India Project - Blazing Trails in India
Fred is heading out to train hundreds of nationals in India, meeting in several strategic places.
Greetings dear friend--
Barb and I always hesitate about bringing any needs… To anyone!! We know that all of us are constantly surrounded with issues and appeals in such a broken and needy world. We understand. But as PAUL begged his friends in Romans 15:30-33 (please read) to pray and be involved... I must do the same!
H.I.M. 2017 INDIA TRAINING/Equipping project needs for 5 programs with approximately 200 Leaders/Pastors:
I recently spoke at a nearby camp in PA; once to the day campers then 1 1/2 weeks later to the overnight campers. Both times I had Opie along with me. For the overnight kids I dressed Opie in his frog costume again and we talked about Judas and pretending to be something you are not. I was told after the chapel time that a camper had trusted Jesus the night before. When her counselor commented that she thought she had already trusted Jesus the girl replied, "I was just pretending". The camp staff relating this to me said that my lesson was a great reinforcement for this young camper.
In just a few more days I will be part of a 20 member missions team from my home church heading to KY! We are going to work as volunteers at the Creation Museum. We have a great team of teens and adults and we are all excited about the opportunities ahead of us. We will be driving out on Sunday and coming back home on Friday. Please pray for this trip - safety, team unity, ability to deal with anything unexpected, etc.! At this point we don't know if internet access will be available. If you don't hear from me in the next week, you will know we don't have access. Otherwise I'll keep you informed on the trip.
I've also received an invitation to work with a church near Portland, OR toward the end of August or into September. This is in the first planning stages at this point but obviously plans need to be solidified soon since they want me out there soon! Please pray for all the details to be worked out and that this will be a great time of ministry to help build up their new AWANA program at the church.
Thank you for your continued prayer and interest in my ministry! I will keep you posted as I am able.
"Paradoxes" …!?! That is a very important word.
I remember looking it up one time in the dictionary trying to be more precise. It said something like "an apparent contradiction, but not a real "contradiction". I wonder how much the deceiver uses "paradoxes" to trip up skeptics unbelievers and even Christians?
One of the great problems, especially in our arrogant culture, is assuming that we can actually "reason" all the issues of life out in our little finite brains!! That is so totally impossible, laughable, ridiculous, and very sad! For example, how could God Himself be fully human and fully God at the same time?? How could God be ONE and three at the same time? How could sinful people be broken and blessed at the same time? How could God give you His very perfect holy righteousness…totally apart from any "works" of your own? There are many many more simple "paradoxes" that surround us every day. God calls us clearly TO LIVE BY FAITH and not by sight! He is the potter we are the clay. How dare the clay accuse the POTTER of any wrong or contradictions?
Certainly, God hates pride. God resists the proud! But praise God he gives grace to the humble. Embracing all the Mistry's paradoxes of life without demanding some kind of puny human answers… frees us to worship God in spirit and in truth. That's exactly what God is looking for…humble hearts to worship him in spirit and in truth!
(John 4: 21--26) Lets be honest about our heart attitudes, confess or pride and grow in faith and a spirit of WORSHIP... He waits!!
