As of 2010, Brazil had a population of over 195 million people. Although 91% of its people consider themselves Christian, "non-religion" is the fastest growing faith group and witchcraft is growing. Most of these Christians have a disregard for discipleship, due to prosperity theology and a lack of leadership models, appropriate training, and unity. The poor population is rising exponentially and the Christian population decreasing in sincerity. There is a sever lack of ministry directed towards children in Brazil: there are 7 million child laborers, 600,000 girls involved in prostitution, and at least 2,000 murders each year due to drug abuse, gang violence, and prostitution.
For the safety and security of these missionaries, last names have been abbreviated.
