Roger's Biography
February 2010
Roger became a believer in the Lord at the age of 42 and in hindsight felt privileged to attend Messianic Jewish services for the first 6 months of his new life. There, he was exposed to the Jewishness of the Messiah and the Jewishness of the entire Bible. Later he went forward at a Billy Graham crusade, was baptized, and joined a local church. He served on many committees, chaired the evangelism ministry several times and taught Sunday School classes going on 20 years.
Over the years Roger became involved with street ministry and then God reignited a desire to study the Jewish Roots of his faith. Still maintaining his membership and involvement in the local Baptist Church he also attended an independent Messianic Jewish Synagogue and took classes at a Jewish Root Institute. During this time he discovered his Baptist denomination had an active outreach to the Messianic community, the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship (SBMF). He now attends a local SBMF and also maintains his membership and support of his local church.

- Witness to those who God provides
As time permits, make contact with the public – from handing out tracks and bibles in public areas to encouraging other believers to help in this outreach.
Jewish Roots Ministry:
1. Promote / Support Jewish Roots’ Worship, Studies & Discussion Groups
2. Discussion Leader for Jewish Roots classes
3. Assist in the leadership of the local Shawnee Jewish Root Ministry

Roger’s ministry is personal evangelism and witnessing to people out in the public arena. He also teaches the Way of the Master personal evangelism method to local church groups and individuals. The Way of the Master has DVD courses which Roger uses as he works with local churches, organizations and individuals in the classroom and out on the streets, helping Christians learn this effective method of evangelism.

Roger is also involved in Hebraic Roots Studies and is interested in connecting with any such groups presently meeting in the Kansas City area.

Roger became a believer in the Lord at the age of 42, was baptized, and joined a local church. He served on many committees, chaired the evangelism department and taught Sunday School classes going on 20 years. Roger said, "There comes a time in one’s life when the Spirit is urging you to make a decision, and you ask do I follow the urging of the Spirit? That’s what happened to me over the past 6 months."
Finally, Roger said yes. He had attended the basic course of the Way of the Master program at his local church and then he was asked to teach the course as a summer elective. Having listened to Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron while taking the basic course and then teaching the course—that prompted his decision to change his lifestyle and become a missionary-evangelist for the Lord.
Previously, Roger was acquainted with Mark Cahill’s work, who is a traveling evangelist using a similar method of street evangelism. It all added up to the decision he made. Roger attended the Way of the Master’s Evangelism Training Academy in California and joined Heartland International Ministries. Roger had known Fred Kornis, the Executive Director for many years and "joining Fred's ministry was the logical thing to do," he said.

Ministry Updates

Summer, 2008 – Taught the Basic Course of the Way of the Master at a local church in Shawnee, KS
Summer, 2008 – Attended the Way of the Masters’ Ambassador’s Academy held in Los Angeles, CA and received training on such places as Hollywood Boulevard and Huntington Beach where street preaching and street witnessing took place.
August - October, 2008 – Teaching the Intermediate Course of the Way of the Master at a local church in Shawnee, KS. As part of this course Roger is leading some team members in the passing out of witness tracts and personal training in one-to-one evangelism in the public arena.
Roger is maintaining his regular witness to individuals in the public domain while passing out tracts and witnessing to individuals in places where crowds gather.
