After high school, she attended K.U. and had a direct encounter with Christ on Thanksgiving night, 1971. That encounter revolutionized her life and drastically changed the direction in which she was going.
The next number of years were devoted to marriage, raising two children, and helping in local churches. She has seen the hand of God move with power in a person's life, but she also knows what it is like to be in discouragement, disillusionment, and despondency when life throws you a curve ball. Cheryl has seen the hand of God once again reach down and pick up that lost soul and restore that one into fellowship with Him. To have experienced even a glimpse of understanding that "in Him we live and move and have our being"...is a privilege to her beyond comparison.
Her two children are now grown. Her son, Erik, and his wife Jen are in full-time ministry in Lawrence, KS. They have four children. Her daughter, Donielle, lives in Costa Rica and is in property development and management. She has a step-son, Keegan , who is involved in theatre around Kansas City. Her husband, Dan is a business owner in downtown Overland Park, KS. Cheryl has worked in healthcare for 25 years and presently coordinates surgeries (and all that entails) for a number of different physicians at an outpatient surgery center.
